According to DiMazio’s personal website, Florence has reached an agreement with River Plate defender Martinez on the transfer.
The report claimed that Martinez had agreed to join Florence, and his agent was pushing River Plate to accept Viola's offer.
Florence made an offer for Martinez of 6 million euros plus additional bonus terms, but River Plate has not yet responded because they are focusing on preparing for the Copa Libertadores.
Martinez's contract with River Plate will expire on June 30 next year, so the Argentine giants risk losing money and players may freely transfer and leave the team.
Martínez will undergo a medical examination in Argentina before going to the Argentine national team to report next Monday local time.
In order to make room for Martinez, Sechellini is most likely to leave Florence, and Verona is also interested in signing him.
